My favorite tall couple got engaged and they asked me (well I begged them) to take their engagement photos. I wanted to gift them free photos because I love them so much and they're seriously a huge blessing to Lane and I. Trevor was one of Lane's best men in our wedding, and Ashlee stood by my side as a Bridesmaid. They've provided prayer, encouragement, a safe haven, and laughter when Lane and I needed it the most.

Danny&Arleen Engagement Photos

Dear YTJ Readers,

Don't ya just love, love? Not love you see in the movies or TV shows. But the real, pure, "I'm fighting for you no matter what" type of love. Well, I love it. Seeing an elderly couple hold hands, a young couple in awe of their newborn, or just the way Lane looks at me. It's just so sweet. And honest. And worth it.

Anyways, I'm all giddy about love because this post is about Danny + Arleen.

2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking their engagement photos. I had never met this couple before so I was pretty excited to finally put a face to a name I've been e-mailing for a month, and because I haven't done an engagement session since Clinton + Charity (this is a link, you should click it!).

Arleen and Danny are a perfect fit for each other. They're both English majors, and they both love Jesus. When I met them they were sweet, kind, and welcoming. From just spending an hour with them I felt like we were already life-long friends. What stuck out the most was their devotion for one another and God-- so real, so inspiring, and already bearing so much fruit.

Clinton&Charity Engagement Photos

These two are so great together! The entire shoot Clinton kept yelling for the whole world to know that they are getting married. I loved the excitement from these two, and it was so refreshing to see my friends so in love with each other. Congratulations, again, Clinton + Charity!

I've known Clinton since we were freshmen in college. Him and I sat next to each other in a singing group that traveled to China in the Summer of 2010. I'm so happy he found Charity- she's so beautiful and so genuine in the way she speaks and carries herself. These two together are dynamic. We booked this engagement session two days before we did it. And I'm so happy they chose me to take their photos. It was such a blessing to hang out with them and hear a little about their journey and love story that God has His hand over. I'm excited to see what God has in store for these two. They're an amazing couple-- Congrats you guys!

Here's a preview from yesterday's engagement shoot with Tracy and her fiance, Alex. Tracy just graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Music and Worship Arts. I met her singing in our University's Concert choir, and was her roommate in New York last Summer for a choir tour we did. They're both passionate about the Lord, and love each other so much. It was a privilege getting to know them and taking their photos! Stick around for more pictures to come!
