"A self-portrait once a week, every week in 2014." // O, Tannenbaum. How lovely were your branches.
Dear YTJ readers,
This new series is inspired by bluebirdblog.com's 52 week series of taking a portrait of her four children, once a week, every week in 2013. I thought why not? Why not, take a self-portrait once a week, every week in 2014? I hate being in front of the camera. I like to tell people that I'm more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. Majority of the time that's true, but the real reason is because I honestly hate the way I look in pictures (honest to blog, haha get it?). Being in front of the camera is a vulnerable place for me, and I'm still learning how to look at a picture of myself without wanting to rearrange my face, work out more, or hide under a rock.
So, here's to a new year, a new series, and a newfound self-love. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Flaws, chubby cheeks, arm fat, bags under my eyes and all!
I'm so thankful for all of my readers and supporters. You all have been the best encouragers! My goal for this blog is to inspire and remind all of you to love yourself, the people around you, and the moment and season that you're in. I usually write mostly to remind myself of who I am, and who's I am. And through all of this, I hope you're encouraged as well.
The first 6 days of 2014 have been so great! 300-and-something more to go!
Jayna, You are absolutely beautiful. I'm going to need for you to take back those negative comments about yourself because you ARE fearfully and wonderfully made my dear. Your flaws are a creation of our King's magnificent work.
