Doing Life together

Dear Readers,

Today, I am thankful. Thankful for my church community and the group of ladies I get to "do life with." For the past few months, I've been apart of a book club that meets once a month where we share our thoughts about Shauna Niequest's Bread & Wine (a great read about community, identity, self-worth, family, and yummy food). Thursday was our last meeting for the Summer season. So what better way to celebrate our accomplishment of finishing a book (amongst our crazy lives) together?!

A California sunset. Boat Ride. Bread & Wine (literally, and figuratively).

When I joined this group, I didn't realize how "young" I really am, and how much more I need to learn about this thing called "life." Most of the women in the group are already married and have two or more young children. There are only three of us who aren't married yet-- although one third of us is engaged and actually getting married in September.

So when we discuss about life, I participate by listening and learning. I know that each lady cares about me and will be there if I ever need a listening ear. But ever since graduation, I've been asking God to teach me new things now that I'm out of the classroom and in the real world. And when you ask God for something, He really is faithful to answer you. He's given me a group of wonderful ladies to learn from, to confide in, and to admire.

Each lady is still a young dreamer, a wonderful mother, a faithful wife, and evidence of God's grace.

This Summer/Season has been all kinds of crazy. But my heart is at peace knowing I have these ladies to encourage me in the next season.

Enjoy these pictures, readers. I hope you all can feel the joy I felt that night! Cheers!

PS- Dessert was chocolate mousse served in a cute cup straight out of France! Yum!
PSS- How about that Momma and Babygirl picture? Sweet, sweet baby was an angel the entire ride.
